1. Introduction.

Here at The Wisdom Trust we absolutely recognise the fantastic work being undertaken by thousands of other charities and good causes all over the world. We salute the supreme dedication of that huge army of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly on behalf of all these organisations and we celebrate their many successes in all areas.

But we also recognise that in spite of all this magnificent effort and all these hard-won successes, much more work still needs to be done if we are going to truly, completely and utterly relieve poverty everywhere, provide a minimum level of healthcare worldwide, improve the friendship, goodwill and understanding between different communities across the globe and protect the environment and all wildlife for the benefit of future generations.

If the waste oil from car oil changes in the UK was properly collected it would meet the annual energy needs of 1.5 million people.

2. We Donate 70% Of Our Income To Other Charities.

Our role at The Wisdom Trust is merely to create a wider awareness about these four important global issues and to suggest ways everyone can apply their new-found wisdom in their own lives to help make a difference.

But it is, without any doubt whatsoever, all those other wonderful organisations who are out there campaigning, gathering support and using their vast and extensive expertise, which really make things happen. Clearly, however, in order for them to do more and achieve even greater success, they will need an even greater level of funding.

With that in mind, The Wisdom Trust sets aside up to 70% of its own income for donations to all those brilliant charities, good causes and not-for-profit organisations and initiatives, in order to support their existing work, issues and campaigns and to help them do even more.

3. Our Members Vote To Decide Which Causes Get Donations.

That seems only fair. But not only that! What's even more fair is that we put the decision of which organisations get donations from our fund and how much each one gets into the hands of our members through a quarterly online vote. In this way, every registered friend of The Wisdom Trust, regardless of age, background, circumstances or even where they live in the world, has a say in which charities, good causes and not-for-profit organisations or initiatives are supported by The Wisdom Trust.

As long as they log in every day, they can vote every day (for their two favourite organisations each time) - and if they engage in our education programmes and other online activities to get credits, they can earn extra votes every day as well.

4. Every Organisation, Large Or Small, Can Benefit.

And it's not just the most popular organisations who get donations either. Every charity, good cause or 'not-for-profit' organisation which gets even just one vote will be allocated their allotted share of our fund, in direct proportion to their share of all the votes cast over each three month period.

So a charity with 5% of the votes cast one quarter will get 5% of the funds raised during that period, or a good cause with 0.015% of all the votes cast over the three months, will get 0.015% of the funds generated over the whole quarter.

It's very fair, entirely democratic and a great new way for every charity or good cause, anywhere in the world, to raise some often badly-needed extra funding for their work, issues and campaigns.

Such charities and good causes can, of course, include schools, community centres, home for the elderly, after-school clubs, hospitals, libraries, hospices, theatres, meals-on-wheels, museums, transport projects for the elderly and disabled, local food and farming initiatives, litter clean-ups, breakfast clubs, youth groups, medical centres, sports clubs, advice centres, community foundations, environment initiatives and local cultural or heritage projects.

5. Make Sure Your Favourite Cause Is Listed.

So if your favourite charity or good causes isn't already listed on our website, make sure they are as soon as possible and then get all your friends and family (and all their friends and family) to register on our website and then log in to cast a vote for them as often as possible.

On the other hand, of course, if your favourite cause is already listed on our website, then make sure you log in and vote for it every day, or, at least, as often as possible.

6. How Much Can An Organisation Raise?
