Registering Your Support - Choosing The Charities For Donations.

Vote For Your Favourite Organisations Every Day.

Vote.

Registered friends of The Wisdom Trust can vote each day for their favourite charities and good causes. And every vote is worth something to the organisations who receive them because at the end of each quarter we allocate our donations fund to all our listed causes, based on their share of all the votes cast during those 3 months.

So 10% of the votes will deliver 10% of the donations fund that quarter, and 1.125% of the votes will deliver 1.125% of the donations fund, whatever that's worth. If it's not worth enough to justify writing out a cheque, the amount will roll over into the next quarter.

You can vote for two charities each time, one from each of the two drop-down lists on the voting page, being the primary list and the secondary list of organisations. All new charities and good causes are placed in the secondary list and at the end of each quarter, the top 6 organisations on that list (i.e. the ones who receive the most votes) will be promoted to the primary list. So make sure you vote for your favourite organisations every day.

You get one vote each day, as long as you login that day, but if you use the website's education programmes to earn credits (Fundraising Credits or FC's), you'll earn an extra vote for every 10 FC's you get each day.

Vote.

Bees & Wasps.

Although often unnoticed, different species of bees and wasps perform a variety of helpful tasks in the garden, from their services as pollinators to predation and parasitism of harmful insects.

They should be encouraged as much as possible. Contrary to popular belief, they rarely sting or bother people, but just to be sure, avoid attracting them through wearing strong scents (perfume, aftershave, perfumed deodorants or anti-perspirants, for example).

Also, avoid (if possible) colourful/floral prints and don't bare too much leg or arm.
